This Wrinkle in Time

This city has a million back streets, and there is someone heading down every one of them. Are they walking towards you or away from you. I guess it's all a matter of relativity. As an observer what you see is not necessarily the truth, at least not for everyone. We all live in different worlds on the same planet; gravity pulling us in and out of orbits.
Life could be Newtonian, but only at a slower pace. The faster you move the stranger things become.

Got a warm place to sleep tonight?

The nights are bloody cold now, especially if you have to sleep outside.
Perhaps I should have given him 500 yen instead of taking his photo. Life is all about give and take.

It pays to think outside the box. That's what they say.
This box was sitting outside the local tofu shop, drying in the sun.
See how well scrubbed it looks? Almost like it washed up on some distant shore, a little battered and worn but still working... a bit like me...

Those earthy colours and the warmth that radiates from pure wool, yummy! You just want to grab it and hold it to your face and feel the warmth... don't you? Perhaps a few weeks ago it was part of an Australian sheep and then the next thing you know...

The boss got a bump on the head the other day... slipped on the stairs after one too many glasses of wine...

She must have thought, or be thinking, about the end game; the way out that leaves her with the money and the time to enjoy without the pressure and stress of running a small business that stopped growing some years ago. But she told me once that she still has a lot of debt, so perhaps that end game is somewhat out of her control.
After the bump on the head she didn't come into the office for quite a while... so what would happenn to the company if she was in hospital for 2 months?
Small companies can be nice to work for; the family feeling and all that , but what happens when the owner gets hit by a bus...
My eggs are nestling in this one basket, and have been for way too long...
